How it Works

Turtle Life Support’s blended learning programmes optimises time and productivity. An online theory module is combined with a practical skills workshop. This allows our students to learn at their own pace in their own space, and for practical skills mastery.

Online Theory

The online theory module is structured into convenient sections comprising of 15 to 30 minute lessons. After each lesson a quiz is completed as part of the continuous assessment process. Quiz results are revealed immediately and the answers presented to provide constructive feedback. This prepares students for the summative exam completed during the practical skills workshop.

Practical Skills Workshop

Once the online module is completed, students attend a one-day practical skills workshop. Scenario-based teaching provides students with an excellent opportunity to apply theoretical concepts learnt online, as well as learn skills of the practical components of first aid. Practical skills, such as CPR, are practiced so that students master first aid techniques.

Outside Gauteng-based groups: we require a group size of between 15 to 30 enrolled students to facilitate the practical skills workshop onsite.

Practical Skills Workshop Duration: Depending on the Level of course taken, ideally the period of the workshop should be facilitated in one-day. However, alternative arrangements may be considered to accommodate your specific operational demands.
